Joys of motoring

Whilst the drive down the 7 lane Sheikh Zayed road is a bit daunting at first, it's not too long before you are undertaking, squeezing in, cutting up with the best of them and not even noticing how everyone else is doing it. The general bustle is just occasionally livened up with the odd bit of complete driving lunacy but it's surprising how little anyone is surprised to hear of it, whatever it might be. Of particular note in the town is Indian guys on bikes riding in the opposite direction to traffic, which still catches me out sometimes. Some of the better things include the tank of petrol for 8GBP and the guy that fills your tank and squeegies your windows clean while you sit in the car and wait.
